PSYCHO EDUCATIONAL ASSESSMENT
Refers to Cognitive, Socio-emotional, Behavioural, Visual- and Auditory Perception, Neuro-development and Scholastic (spelling, reading, math and writing) assessment.
SCHOOL READINESS ASSESSMENT
School readiness assessments are a sub-type of Psycho-educational assessments. The goal of the assessment is to predict whether the child is ready for formal schooling. This includes intellectual, socio-emotional, conceptual and perceptual and neuro-developmental readiness.
SUBJECT CHOICE ASSESSMENT
At the end of Grade 9 learners are expected to choose subjects which they would like to continue taking from Grade 10 to 12. Since this is one of the first steps towards a career path, a subject choice assessment is suggested in order to make an informed decision.
CAREER CHOICE ASSESSMENT
The goal of a career assessment is to support and guide an individual in their career choice. It helps give the individual better self-knowledge with regards to their strengths, preferences and dislikes and therefore enable them to make an informed career choice. This assessment is valuable for new career planning as well as individuals who consider career changes (learners, students and adults).
CONCESSIONS & ACCOMMODATIONS
When an individual has a barrier to learning and needs accommodations (extra writing time, a scribe, a reader, etc.) to optimise their learning, a “concessions and accommodations assessment” is requested by education departments, universities and schools (learners & tertiary students).
